Alloy Tubing

We offer various materials of alloy tubing as follow:

  • Stainless 316L – with a minimum yield strength of 170 MPa
  • Duplex 2205 – with a minimum yield strength of 485 MPa
  • Duplex 2507 – with a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa
  • Incoloy 825 – with a minimum yield strength of 240 MPa
  • Inconel 625 – with a minimum yield strength of 414 MPa

Our alloy tubing is designed for applications of hydraulic control, chemical injection, chloride pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, H2S and CO2 resistance, as well as chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance.

The tubing comes in a seam-welded pressure tubing form, and complies with the UNS and ASTM specification. Specifically, the details of the alloy tubing available are as follows:

  • Stainless 316L – UNS S31603, ASTM A269
  • Duplex 2205 – UNS S32205, ASTM A789
  • Duplex 2507 – UNS S32750, ASTM A789
  • Incoloy 825 – UNS N08825, ASTM B704

Applications:

A safety valve is a type of valve that automatically actuates when the pressure of the inlet side of the valve increases to a predetermined pressure, to open the valve disc and discharge the fluid. The safety valve system is designed to be a fail-safe so that a wellbore can be isolated in the event of any system failure or damage to the surface production-control facilities.

In most cases, it is mandatory to have a means of closure for all wells capable of natural flow to the surface. To meet this requirement, a subsurface safety valve (SSSV) can be installed. This safety valve can be operated on a fail-safe principle from a control panel located on the surface.

The SSSV is connected to a control line, which is typically constructed of stainless steel components and is introduced into the wellbore at the time of completion. Depending on the specific circumstances, the pressure on the control line must be as high as 10,000 psi, to keep the valve open.

Aside from applications for SSSV, the same control line system can be used for a variety of other tasks, such as: capillary coiled alloy tubing for chemical injection; bare and encapsulated hydraulic control line coiled alloy tubing for subsea safety valves; velocity strings, work strings, and steel tube umbilicals; and geothermal coiled alloy tubing for energy production.
