Unique manufacturing capabilities and processes allow Meilong Tube to produce the longest continuous chemical injection line tubing available in stainless steels and high nickel alloys. Our long length tubing coils are used extensively for chemical injection in subsea and onshore wells. The length without orbital welds reduces the potential for defects and failures, and the coils offer short hydraulic response time, greater collapse strength, and elimination of methanol permeation.
Chemical injection is a famously small-diameter conduit that is run alongside production tubulars to enable injection of inhibitors or similar treatments during production. H2S and scale deposition can be countered and treated by the injection of treatment chemicals and inhibitors, however fluids with high foaming tendencies can complicate the design and may require mechanical or chemical solutions.
For subsea applications, a passive mechanical foam-breaking device is preferred, and an addition of heat or surface destabilizing chemicals is the general solution for three-phase seperation. Also, a subsea umbilical may be used to supply high-voltage power, remote-control and monitoring signals, and chemical inhibitor, cleaning, and treatment fluids to the seabed processing facilities.
The tubing coils we use are unbroken lengths with no orbital welds. Every single tubing coil is hydrostatically tested at a minimum pressure of 10,150 psi. This test can also be witnessed on site by third-party inspectors like SGS, BV, and DNV.
Additionally, for increased material quality assurance, we conduct eddy current tests, chemical tests, flattening tests, flaring tests, tensile tests, yield tests, elongation tests, and hardness tests.
