Meilong Tube's downhole control lines are used primarily as communication conduits for hydraulically operated downhole devices in oil, gas, and water-injection wells, where durability and resistance to extreme harsh conditions are required. These lines can be custom configured for a variety of applications and downhole components.
All encapsulated materials are hydrolytically stable and are compatible with all typical well completion fluids, including high-pressure gas. The material selection is based on various criteria, including bottomhole temperature, hardness, tensile and tear strength, water absorption and gas permeability, oxidation, and abrasion and chemical resistance.
Control lines have undergone extensive development, including crush testing and high-pressure autoclave well simulation. Laboratory crush tests have demonstrated the increased loading under which encapsulated tubing can maintain functional integrity, particularly where wire-strand “bumper wires” are used.
Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel designed for applications which demand exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Alloy 2507 has 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. This high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content results in excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack and the duplex structure provides 2507 with exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Usage of Duplex 2507 should be limited to applications below 600° F (316° C). Extended elevated temperature exposure can reduce both the toughness and corrosion resistance of alloy 2507. Duplex 2507 possesses excellent mechanical properties. Often a light gauge of 2507 material can be used to achieve the same design strength of a thicker nickel alloy. The resulting savings in weight can dramatically reduce the overall cost of fabrication.
Corrosion Resistance
2507 Duplex is highly resistant to uniform corrosion by organic acids such as formic and acetic acid. It is also highly resistant to inorganic acids, especially if they contain chlorides. Alloy 2507 is highly resistant to carbide-related intergranular corrosion. Due to the ferritic portion of the duplex structure of the alloy it is very resistant to stress corrosion cracking in warm chloride containing environments. Through additions of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice attack are improved. Alloy 2507 has excellent localized pitting resistance.
Control lines from our company are delivered in maximum lengths of 40,000 ft (12,192 m). This produces maximum reliability for our customers.
We have an extensive selection of single, dual, or triple flat-packs. They give you the option of combining them with downhole electrical cables and/or bumper wires, for an easier deployment and operation.
We use a weld-and-plug-drawn production method to create a smooth and round tube, guaranteeing an effective long-term metal sealing of terminations.
The encapsulation materials that we use are chosen wisely and are especially suited to fit your specific well condition. Doing this provides the longevity and reliability that our customers need.

Coiled alloy tubing can be used for a variety of applications. We offer an extensive line of coiled alloy tubing, suitable for different types of chemical injection. The chemical injection tubing is capillary and produced with coiled alloy.
We also offer bare and encapsulated hydraulic control line coiled alloy tubing for subsea safety valves. Through the use of these stainless-steel coiled alloy tubes, the safety valves can be operated with fine tuning.
In addition to offering these types of coiled alloy tubing, we also offer velocity strings, work strings, and steel tube umbilicals. These are used primarily for geothermal applications. The coiled alloy tubing provides a reliable option for geothermal exploration.
Geothermal Tubing Technical Support and Service
Geothermal tubing should always be packaged and shipped with the utmost care. The tube should be wound onto a spool and then placed in a protective container. The container should be made of a durable material such as wood, plastic, or metal. If the tubing is particularly fragile, additional padding or cushioning should be used. The container should also be sealed securely to keep out moisture and dust.
When shipping geothermal tubing, it is important to ensure that the package is properly labeled with the contents of the package, the destination, and the sender’s contact information. It is also important to ensure that the package is adequately insured, as geothermal tubing can be quite valuable. Finally, it is important to choose a reliable shipping service to ensure that the package arrives in a timely manner.
