Meilong Tube specializes in manufacturing and distributing high-quality seamless and redrawn, seam-welded and redrawn coiled tubing. These products are made with corrosion-resistant austenitic, duplex, super duplex stainless steel and nickel alloy grades. The 100% of the products are used in a variety of applications such as hydraulic power control lines, injection lines, alloy tubing in umbilicals and instrumentation tubing for upstream oil and gas operations.
The coiled tubing is available in sizes ranging from outer diameter 0.125 inches (3.175 millimeters) to one inch (25.4 millimeters). Wall thickness is up to 0.083 inch (2.108 millimeters). Lengths up to 65600 feet (20,000 meters) are available to meet the requirement of umbilical production in a cost-effective manner. Other sizes not mentioned can also be tailored to meet the customer's special needs.
To cope with the challenging and dangerous environments associated with offshore operations, the right corrosion resistant material is essential to ensure the safety and reliability of the coiled umbilical tubing. This is the motive behind the innovations and continuous improvements made by Meilong Tube. As a result of its commitment, it is able to provide economical tubing products through secure value-added chain in tubing production, ultimately leading to products of excellent quality as well as customers' satisfaction.
Incoloy alloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. This nickel steel alloy is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. It differs from alloy 800 in that it has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion.
Alloy 825 offers excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, a good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and satisfactory resistance to localized attack like pitting and crevice corrosion. In addition, it shows a superior resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. It also boasts good mechanical properties at both room and elevated temperatures up to 1020°F with permission for pressure-vessel use at wall temperatures up to 800°F.
Some of the applications of Incoloy alloy 825 include chemical processing, pollution-control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production and pickling equipment.
Incoloy 825 is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum-carbon-manganese-silicon-sulfur-aluminum-titanium-copper alloy. The minmax. percentages for each of these components are respectively: 38.0-46.0, 19.5-23.5, 22.0, 2.5-3.5, 0.05, 1.0, 0.5, 0.03, 0.2, 0.6-1.2, 1.5-3.0. It has corresponding grade, UNS No., Euro norm of alloy, ASTM/ASME, EN10216-5, and EN10216-5 respectively.
For ASTM B704 / ASME SB704, UNS N08825, and UNS N06625, the tolerance dimension of OD and wt under 1/8’’ to 5/8’’ (3.18 to 15.88 mm) is ± 0.004’’ (±0.10 mm) and ± 12.5%. For size over 5/8’’ to 1’’ (15.88 to 25.4 mm), the tolerance dimension of OD and wt is ± 0.0075’’ (± 0.19 mm) and ± 12.5%. In Meilong Tube Standard, tolerance dimension for OD and wt under 1/8’’ to 5/8’’ (3.18 to 15.88mm) is ± 0.004’’ (± 0.10 mm) and ±10%, while tolerance dimension for size over 5/8’’ to 1’’ (15.88 to 25.4 mm) is ±0.004’’ (± 0.10 mm) and ±8%.
For ASTM B423 / ASME SB423, UNS N08825, tolerance dimension under 1/8’’ to 3/16’’ (3.18 to 4.76 mm) is +0.003’’ (+0.08 mm) / -0, for size over 3/16 to 1/2’’ ( 4.76 to 12.7 mm) is +0.004’’ (+0.10 mm) / -0, and for size over 1/2’’ to 1’’ (12.7 to 25.4 mm), is +0.005’’ (+0.13 mm) / -0, and the tolerance wt in these dimensions is all ± 10%. In Meilong Tube Standard, tolerance dimension under 1/8’’ to 3/16’’ (3.18 to 4.76 mm) is +0.003’’ (+0.08 mm) / -0, for size over 3/16’’ to 1/2’’ (4.76 to 12.7 mm) is +0.004’’ (+0.10 mm) / -0, and for size over 1/2’’ to 1’’ (12.7 to 25.4 mm) is +0.004’’ (+0.10 mm) / -0, tolerance wt are respectively ±10%, ±10%, and ±8%.
Nickel alloy tubing control line properties include seamless & floating internal plug redrawn tubing that is supplied in the annealed condition with continuous length without orbital joint welds.
The table below demonstrates the properties and values of Incoloy 825 alloy, UNS N08825, with various outside diameters (O.D.), wall thickness (W.T.), and pressures.
Alloy | UNS | O.D. | W.T. | Working Pressure | Burst Pressure | Collapse Pressure | Test Pressure |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Incoloy 825 | N08825 | 1/8 | 0.125 | 0.028 | 12,389 | 45,914 | 11,266 |
Incoloy 825 | N08825 | 1/8 | 0.125 | 0.035 | 15,486 | 57,392 | 14,083 |
Incoloy 825 | N08825 | 1/4 | 0.250 | 0.035 | 7,281 | 26,992 | 8,427 |
It should be noted that theoretical burst pressure and theoretical collapse pressure are based on the minimum wall thickness and minimum tensile strength, while pressure rating is at 100°F (38°C) in neutral and static conditions.
