To form the tubing, the Meilong Tube fabricates multiple tube mills and uses both gas-tungsten arc and laser beam welding of strip stock. Sinking is a cold working process in which expertise is needed to pull the tubing through a lubricated die without an internal plug. Additionally, this operation eliminates manufacturing process limitations that may prevent welding the tubing to final size.

Floating-plug operation is also used, in which the tubing is pulled through a lubricated die with an internal floating plug to control the inside diameter of the tubing. After the tubing is formed, it needs to be heat treated to achieve the desired mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in an off-mill furnace with a reducing atmosphere. All of these procedures enable Meilong Tube to manufacture precision products.
