Meilong Tube uses welded stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing to provide reliable protection for electrical and optical components from the harsh downhole environment. It is additionally safeguarded by polymeric encapsulation. Such an approach ensures an increased product lifespan and resistance to corrosion.
We also offer a wide range of copper and fiber components that allow for the production of some of the industry’s most advanced instrumentation cables. Since first introducing TEC to the oil and gas industry back in 2015, we have continued to improve and optimize this product for newer, deeper and hotter well applications.
We offer an extensive range of custom TEC configurations that are composed of almost infinitely many combinations of components, meaning customers get the exact product they need. Moreover, with our standard encapsulation sizes (11 mm x 11 mm square) we can meet almost any requirement that arises.
Furthermore, we provide composite cables that incorporate various combinations of electrical and optical components in order to meet the specific demands of downhole applications.
With downhole cable design experience coupled with extensive metallurgy expertise in Meilong Tube. Our engineers invite customers to discuss the correct tubing alloys for specific applications.
Meilong Tube helps remove the trouble out of well completions. Our engineers will work with you to optimize the selection of tubing alloys and wall thicknesses, and flatpack encapsulation materials to meet the exact requirement of your wells.
Our flatpack components can include TEC with electrical conductors, hydraulic control lines for controlling of downhole valves, and fluid injection lines for enhanced oil / gas recovery or corrosion / scaling inhibition.
TEC is selected based on various well conditions including pressure, temperature and corrosiveness of the well fluid. It is composed of an alloy suitable for the application and longitudinally welded. Then tests such as eddy current are carried out. When finished, all data and test results relating to the tube will be available.
The sizes and mechanical characteristics for cold worked alloy TEC are detailed in the table, with the minimum collapse and minimum bend radius* provided. The calculations are according to the minimum yield strength of 120,000 psi. All TEC tubes are oversized welded and drawn, and they can be printed with various data, such as part number, serial number, etc.
In addition, electrical components such as Temperature Range, Filler and Insulation for different TEC styles are listed in the table, with the maximum electrical conductor resistance given at 20°C (68 °F).
*The bending radius indicated is in a static condition after final training at the termination. It is crucial to use a special tubing bender to bend the tubing in order to keep the bending radius uniform. The minimum bending radius should be as large as possible when deploying into or out of the well.
Temperature sensing technology has developed rapidly in recent years, making it possible to measure the temperature of a single object with relative precision. Two of the most common tasks that can be performed to achieve this are measuring temperature and data transmission.
Measuring temperature involves the use of a thermometer, either digital or analog, to measure the temperature of a particular area. This can be a complex process, as it involves taking into account both internal and external temperature sources, in order to accurately and reliably detect and display the temperature.
Data transmission is used to transmit the measured temperature from the thermometer to a remote location. This can be done using various technologies such as wireless, wired or infrared. By using these methods, the temperature data can be collected and transmitted over distances with relative accuracy.
Temperature sensing is an important part of many industries, from healthcare to automotive and from manufacturing to consumer electronics. By using the techniques outlined above, it is possible to accurately measure and transmit temperature data to ensure safe and reliable operations.
