Meilong Tube's downhole control lines are designed to provide the utmost durability and resistance to extreme conditions. They are primarily used as transmission conduits for command and operation of hydraulic devices in oil, gas and water-injection wells. These control lines are customizable according to different applications and downhole components, allowing for greater versatility.
The selection of materials is based on two variables: what is the bottomhole temperature, and how strong is the underlying pressure. The material must display optimum strength in terms of tensile and tear strength, water absorption, gas permeability, oxidation, and abrasion and chemical resistance. Additionally, it must be hydrolytically stable and be compatible with regular well completion fluids.
To ensure high quality, these control lines have passed extensive testing. This includes crush testing and simulation of high-pressure wells in autoclaves. As established by the laboratory's tests, the use of wire-strand “bumper wires” provides increased structural load to aid in maintaining the line's solidity and reliability.
Our control lines provide reliability at up to 40,000 ft (12,192 m) with orbital-weld-free lengths, making it easier to handle and operate during deployment. There’s also a range of single, dual, or triple flat-packs to choose from which you can combine with downhole electrical cables or bumper wires.
The welded-and-plug-drawn production method we use produces a smooth, round tube which allows for long-term metal sealing of terminations. Furthermore, the encapsulation materials are carefully selected to suit the well conditions so you can be sure their longevity and reliability are secure.
We offer seamless and floating internal plug redrawn tubing supplied in the annealed condition, without orbital joint welds and in continuous length. Below are specifications of the product in terms of alloy, UNS, diameter, wall thickness and working pressure based on certain test conditions.

The theoretical burst pressure and collapse pressure are based on the minimum wall thickness and minimum yield strentgh respectively. All pressure ratings are recorded at 100°F (38°C), in neutral and static conditions.
